Located in San Francisco, California, the owner of this French bakery developed a preliminary sketch of their dream kitchen. I was brought in to help execute this dream and work out the finer details such as the wood millwork at the counter and banquette seating, tile, and light fixture selection.

The owners of this comfort food sandwich shop — located in San Francisco, California — wanted to create a casual neighborhood space that’s inviting to locals. I was brought in for the initial design when it first opened, suggesting floor and wall tile as well as equipment layout. As the business grew and their needs changed, the owners chose me once again to redesign the countertop and equipment layout to fit their new business model and give it a fresh new look.
Laurel Heights Condo
1,500 sq ft | Interior Renovation and Interior Design
This two-story condo was in need of an interior facelift to fit the new owner’s lifestyle. She imagined preparing meals and hosting dinner parties at an oversized peninsula in her modern contemporary home and I was there to make it happen. It involved updating the kitchen with custom shaker cabinets, a powder bath and two full baths lined with Ann Saks tile, and custom shelving in the living room to name a few. The client wanted the space to feel warm and inviting, so all new furniture and window treatments were chosen throughout.

Hi, I’m Velba (but you can call me Vel). I started this design company as a bit of a creative outlet.
Having been in the architectural design industry for 20 years, my career began in interiors and then shifted to the technical side of design as a Building Envelope Consultant and creative problem-solver.
My experience in interiors, exteriors, and construction administration means that I take a holistic approach to designing a space, meeting project deadlines, and being able to offer alternate product guidance.
